WCPF

Women and Children Protection Forum (WCPF) is a non-governmental organization committed to the political, social, and economic empowerment of Dalits, women, and other marginalized and minority groups. Established in 2012, the organization has been advancing its vision of “a society free from caste and gender discrimination” by pursuing its mission to “support the creation of an enabling environment that promotes the meaningful participation of Dalit and marginalized women in public life.

WCPF’s core programs focus on political and economic empowerment, GEDSI, and combating discrimination and violence. The organization primarily targets Dalit women and other marginalized groups, including indigenous communities and children, and has reached more than 5,000 direct beneficiaries across Koshi Province, Nepal

WCPF collaborates with a range of governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to amplify the voices of Dalit women and children and to ensure their meaningful participation and protection of their rights. The organization works closely with the Ministry of Social Development of Koshi Province— a constitutional body mandated to safeguard the rights of Dalits— as well as the Inter-Generational Feminist Forum (IGFF), an informal collective of feminists active across Koshi Province. WCPF is also an active member of several network organisations dedicated to eliminating caste-based discrimination and advancing the human rights of women, children, and Dalit communities.
